Perched perfectly on the edge of Grasmere, The Daffodil Hotel offers a twist on the traditional afternoon tea experience. As someone who eagerly anticipates this annual tradition, I can affirm to the unique charm that sets the Daffodil Hotel apart.

Setting the Scene:

The Daffodil Hotel's beautiful decor alongside it's large windows provide the perfect backdrop for a memorable afternoon tea. The atmosphere is serene and complements the afternoon tea experience that awaits.

A Unique Menu:

Who thought tacos and coffee would work together so well?

What makes the Daffodil Hotel Afternoon Tea stand out is its creative menu. Finger sandwiches are out and sliders are in. Picture veggie skewers, jerk chicken bon bons and king prawn and avocado tacos. A seafood lovers dream, this is a far step up from the traditional ham and mustard sandwiches you'd expect from an afternoon tea.

The dessert selection is a highlight for me, with classic treats like eclairs given a modern twist with passion fruit cream, strawberry iced flamingo biscuits and delectable mango & passionfruit chocolate shells on coconut sand stealing the show. But don't fret scone lovers for they are still included as the chefs add their own twist with inventive flavours and unexpected pairings.

Brew with a view:

Beyond the culinary delights, The Daffodil Hotel offers a breath-taking view of Grasmere.

Whether you're a coffee drinker or a cocktail sipper, the attentive staff provide recommendations, creating a welcoming and elegant experience that goes beyond the ordinary.

Conclusion:

For an afternoon tea that beautifully blends tradition with modern tastes, The Daffodil Hotel is the perfect destination. And with a change in the afternoon tea menu at least twice a year, each visit feels like a celebration, making the Daffodil Hotel Afternoon Tea a must-return experience for me year after year.
